More than one kind of blocked drain
Sewer and stormwater drains do different jobs, and the cause of a blockage matters. Roots, accumulated debris or damaged pipework can each require a different approach. Tell us which fixtures or drains are affected, when the problem started and whether it keeps returning.
- Blocked toilets, sinks and sewer drains
- Stormwater drains and pooling rainwater
- Recurring blockages that need further investigation

Inspection before the next decision
Drain clearing may involve cable equipment, high-pressure water jetting or other methods suited to the pipe and available access. CCTV inspection can help show the condition of the line and guide a repair or maintenance decision. If a pipe is damaged, the appropriate option depends on its location and condition; relining is not suitable for every drain.
Useful questions
Before you get in touch.
Can you investigate a drain that keeps blocking?
Yes. Let CPM know how often it happens and any earlier work. Drain inspection and locating services can help establish what needs attention beyond clearing the immediate blockage.
Do you work on both sewer and stormwater drains?
Both are included in CPM’s published drain services. Describe where the water is backing up so the enquiry can be directed appropriately.
